Dakotaland FCU To Grow By Three Branches

Dakotaland Federal Credit Union is expanding to include locations in DeSmet, Redfield and Madison to its five current locations. The De Smet branch will be located at the junction of Highways 14 and 25 in the Helm Insurance Building and will be staffed by two former Wells Fargo employees. The closure of the Wells Fargo branch in De Smet left only one finanical institution in De Smet. The Dakotaland branch will bring that number to two. The Redfield branch follows the successful merger of Dakotaland with the Turtle Creek Federal Credit Union. 95-percent of Turtle Creek’s 18-hundred 56 members gave approval of the merger. The Redfield location of Dakotaland will be located on Main Street and will be converted by January of 2012. Upon completion of the mergers Dakotaland will have 80 employees and over 24-000 members. with nearly 200-million dollars in held assets.  The third location is in Madison near Prostrollo’s
