SENATOR THUNE VISITS AREA WEDNESDAY

US Senator John Thune made a visit to Huron and Miller wednesday.  In his visit with Huron business leaders Thune spoke about the recent Russian aggression in the Ukraine and a possible change in the Biden administration’s response to that aggression.

Domestically Thune said inflation is a big topic nationwide.

He felt that government spending since the coronavirus and Cares act spending has contributed to inflation.

Thune is a member of the agriculture committee of the US Senate said a new farm bill may be on the horizon.  He said that although there are some provisions of the bill that assist farmer, you would be surprised where the majority of the money goes.

Thune visited with Miller community leaders and tour the Miller High School to check the damage from the explosion and fire from February 2nd.
