The second of three coffee with the legislators event for the 2022 legislative session was held Saturday at the City Commission room. The topic of the House select committee on investigation getting automated robo calls in late January in reference to Jason Ravnsborg’s impeachment proceeding was brought up. The legislators were asked what the state of South Dakota plans to do about robo calls.
Senator David Wheeler added to the topic.
Representative Roger Chase said that HB 1214 was recently submitted by House Speaker Spencer Gosch in reaction to the robo calls.
HB 1214 will be brought before the house today in session.
