LETCHER, SD – A rural Letcher business will be featured in an upcoming Discovery Channel show about manufacturing processes. Crews from “How It’s Made” will spend three days in September at Hansen Wheel and Wagon Shop. The documentary program details how various everyday items are made, including baseballs, hammers and olive oil. Since its debut in 2000, the program has covered more than 900 subjects. Hansen Wheel and Wagon Shop describes itself as a family owned carriage and wagon manufacturer established in 1978. It says it takes pride in making the most historically accurate horse-drawn vehicles. “How It’s Made” is seen in more than 100 countries with about 130 million viewers.
