Make plans to attend the Independence Day Celebration in Huron on Saturday, July 3rd. Festivities begin at 10:30am with the parade. The parade starts at 9th Street and Dakota Avenue, continues north to 3rd Street, then west to Illinois.
Immediately following the parade, Emily and James Salinas will be providing patriotic music in the band shell while a Pork Loin BBQ is served in Campbell Park. Pork loin sandwich, baked beans, chips, and a drink are available for $6. Flea Market and Farmers’ Market vendors will be set up in Campbell Park as well.
There will be multiple fireworks displays starting on July 1 after the races at Dakota State Fair Speedway. On July 4th, fireworks will be over Ravine Lake at 10pm. Patriotic music will be aired on “Tiger 95” 95.3 FM or 1340 AM KIJV during the show. A fireworks show will also be at Lake Byron on July 4th at 10pm.
