The South Dakota State Fair will once again feature a pavilion where people can taste samples from some of the state’s wineries, breweries and cheese plants. The South Dakota Agriculture Department and the winegrowers are working together to provide the attraction. People can taste and buy South Dakota wines and beer and visit with winery and brewery operators.
People who visit the wine pavilion can purchase tasting packages to sample more than 40 varieties of South Dakota wine and some hand-crafted beers. They also can buy wine or beer by the glass to enjoy in the wine garden.
Visitors also can purchase wine, beer and cheese to take home. The State Fair runs from Sept. 1 through Sept. 5 in Huron.
