NEBELSICK TO RETIRE FOLLOWING SCHOOL YEAR

Huron School district Superintendent Terry Nebelsick announced his retirement following the current school year. He has served as Superintendent for 10 years after initially coming to the district in 1994 and serving as Huron High School Principal. Terry said he and his wife wanted to announce in time to give the district enough time for a search for a new Superintendent. He talks about what went into the decision.

Nebelsick looks back at a 44 year career in eduction.

He has spent countless amounts of time planning, changing and adapting as the Coronavirus moved into the state in March of 2020 and school were shut down on March 13. Although being an essential part of a pandemic is not something most educators can say they were a part of and responded to. Terry said with the Superintendent position and many duties with it he has a full resume and is pleased with his accomplishments.

With many memories over the years Nebelsick mentioned one of the best rewards over his career.

The announcement will become part of the Huron School District record on Monday December 14th.
