Huron & Highmore Airports Get Federal Money

Two area airports are getting federal money for improvements. The office of U.S. Senator Tim Johnson say the Huron Regional Airport is getting 758-thousand, 500-dollars to purchase new snow removal equipment. The Municipal airport in Highmore will get 510-thousand dollars to help build a taxiway off the main runway. Huron’s airport is receiving the largest amount of the three-point-eight million dollars made available from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport improvement program. Johnson says the funding will cover improvements to infrastructure and help make air travel safer for South Dakotans
