The SD Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle/ATV crash that occurred south of Huron today.
The accident happened around 10:37 this morning.
A 2012 Honda ATV was northbound on U.S. Highway 37 in the outside lane. A 2002 Ford F150 pickup was headed eastbound across the highway and failed to yield. The ATV collided with the pickup.
The driver and a dog on the ATV were ejected. The pickup rolled at least once and the driver was also ejected.
The 57-year-old driver of the ATV was transported to HRMC with serious non-life threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
The 17-year-old driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries and was also transported to HRMC. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The dog on the ATV was injured but is expected to recover.
