City Approves 1st Reading of Ordinance Revising Code Pertaining to Conditional Uses

Last night, the Huron city commission approved 1st reading of an ordinance revising code pertaining to zoning, specifically conditional uses in the general industrial district in the joint jurisdictional area.

City planner Barry Cranston said it was essentially a house cleaning item.

In other business, the city commission:

  • Authorized the mayor to sign a letter of support for listing Jefferson School on the National Register of Historic Places
  • Approved a plat filed by the City of Huron for Southtown 3rd Addition
  • Set the bid opening date for for 2 pm on September 9, 2019 for the City Hall Parking Lot
