The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for waste tire disposal for a waste tire collection later this year. The Commission will also consider setting a date to accept bids for chip sealing and road oil. The Commission will also acknowledge the receipt of petitions asking for a recall of Mayor Dave McGirr. A public hearing will be held for annual renewals of home occupation permits. Commissioners will also consider a plat request. Commissioners will also hold second reading of an ordinance that recommend changes to the city’s home occupation ordinances. Among the seven departmental items tonight, Commissioners will consider an appointment to the Green Energy Task Force a request by the Public Safety Committee to eliminate on street parking near Terex Utilities on Arizona Avenue Northwest, three human resource items and items of note regarding the City and the upcoming Forth of July holiday. A work session will be held to consider renewals of the E-911contracts with area counties. The Huron City Commission will adjourn following the work session and reconvene at 7 PM at the Huron Event Center to take part in a presentation on the Central Park Redevelopment Plan. Both the Central Park presentation and Commission meeting are open the the public. The Commission meeting starts at 5:30 PM
