HRMC Honors Wiebe as August Exceptional Employee

Huron Regional Medical Center honored its August Exceptional Employee of the Month, Paula Wiebe, RN, with a reception on Wednesday, August 14.

Wiebe, who has worked as a dialysis nurse at HRMC, was nominated by coworkers to receive the honor.

According to nominating coworkers, “Paula shows kindness and consideration to the needs of our dialysis patients by providing excellent care and making them feel at ease.”
“She is a team player and also a team leader – taking on many extra duties including quality control and orientation of new staff,” the nomination continued. “Paula has great computer and technical skills and is always willing to share her knowledge.”

As August exceptional employee, Wiebe, received a reception with family, friends and coworkers, a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.

Wiebe earned an associate degree in nursing from Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas and began her career working at a nursing home in Kansas. Prior to joining HRMC, she worked as a nurse at the Golden Living Center in Redfield, S.D.

She and her husband, Ben, farm outside of Hitchcock and have four children. Three attend Hitchcock-Tulare School: Josephine is a third grader, Josiah is in eight grade and Bethany is a sophomore. Their son Brandon is a sophomore at the University of Kansas (KU). When she isn’t working or following her children’s activities, Wiebe enjoys cooking, going on walks and riding her Harley Davison motorcycle.
