The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says some storms today could be severe:
Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area today, and some of these storms could be severe with large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
The greatest risk for severe storms will occur over southwestern MN and east-central SD from late morning to early afternoon, then over northwestern IA in the late afternoon and evening.
