Flying Horses? Rodeo Presents Logistical Challenges for Some Contestants

Visitors from across the country and from Mexico, Canada, and Australia are starting to arrive in Huron for next week’s National Junior High Finals Rodeo.

Austin White of Denver is coordinating the rodeo again this year, and says logistics are challenging for the rodeo families, especially if they use a horse.

He says most either find a horse from the area to use, or ship the animal.White says even his organization has had to deal with issues in getting equipment to Huron.

Registration starts tomorrow on the fairgrounds, and the week long rodeo begins Sunday night on the Grandstand.
