Wednesday afternoon, the SD Highway Patrol responded to a three vehicle crash in Cavour.
The accident occurred around 3:30 pm.
A 1991 GMC pickup, driven by a 22 year old male, was traveling on U.S. Highway 14 and was making a northbound turn on 409th Avenue. A 2019 Chevy Suburban was behind the pickup and slowing down, when a 2015 Chevy 2500 Pickup rear-ended the Suburban.
The driver of GMC pickup was not injured.
The 58 year old male driver of the Chevy pickup was also not injured. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Th 24 year old female driver of the Suburban, a 22 year old male passenger and five juveniles, ages – 9, 7, 11,4 and 2, suffered no injuries. Seatbelts were in use.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
