A man arrested at the Huron Wal-Mart last night is a suspect in other incidents at Wal-Mart stores.
Thursday night officers responded to a shoplifting call. When officers arrived to speak with the suspects, 24-year-old Stephan Grant from Lakeland, Florida attempted to flee the area. After giving chase through the parking lot, and issuing several commands to stop, the officer deployed his Taser.
The suspect was incapacitated and taken into custody.
Staff confirmed that Grant was suspected of credit fraud at other Wal-Mart stores. A search of his person revealed several prepaid credit cards some of which were still in the package.
The suspect’s female companion was issued a no trespassing notice from Wal-Mart and released.
