The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. The Commission will set a bid date for accepting bids for the transportation and disposal of waste tires. Commissioners will consider two easement related agreements with the Colonial Apartments. The second and final reading of two ordinances regarding the city’s Fire Department is tonight. Seven human resource items are on the agenda along with the appointment of members to the Housing and Redevelopment Board and Historic Preservation Board. The Commission will also meet in executive session for a personnel matter. The Huron City Commission is also meeting Tuesday evening. The only item on that agenda is also a personnel matter. State Law prohibits executives sessions to be open to the public, however the Commission can not legally take an action behind closed doors. Any decision arising from an executive session must be done in an open meeting area. Both the Monday and Tuesday Commission meetings begin at 5:30 PM. The meetings are open to the public again with the exception of the Executive Sessions.
