With another winter storm wiping out activities, it’s a reminder that it has been a difficult year for those who schedule the events, such as athletic directors. The winter sports season was a test for Huron A-D Terry Rotert, especially in the month of February. Rotert says several factors go into re-scheduling.
The Tigers were able to make up all varsity events except for one girls basketball game, Brookings at Huron, which was postponed and re-scheduled once, then cancelled, the first cancellation for Huron in several years.
Rotert says he learned a few years ago not to over-extend the kids.
Track and Field, boys tennis, and baseball schedules have all been affected by this week’s storm.
