A forum on opioid abuse was held last night at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell. The keynote speaker for the event was KELO-TV’s Angela Kennecke, whose daughter died of an overdose. Kennecke has spoken at many events about opioid abuse and her daughter’s addiction and death, hoping to inform others.
Kennecke says there were warning signs of which she was not aware.
Last night’s forum also included a panel discussion on opioid abuse.
