2018 Proves to be a Dry Year in the Huron Area

A look back at Huron weather for 2018 shows it was a dry year, which comes as no surprise.

According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, total rainfall in Huron for the year was 19 inches and 64 hundreths, 3.26 under normal precipitation for the year, which was 22.9 inches.

The biggest daily rainfall for the year was 1.44 on September 18.

The largest snowfall was 8 inches on April 13, followed by 7 and a half April 14.

The warmest temperature for the year was 99 on July 11, while the coldest temperature was 30 below on New years day, Jan 1, 2018.
