City to Consider Pledging $750,000 for Vantage Business Park

Tonight, the Huron City Commission will consider a resolution on Vantage Business Park.

Vantage Business Park is an economic development project that encompasses 127-acres, east of Custer Avenue and south of Highway 14.

The north one-third of the 127-acre site is zoned for office and light industrial uses. The southern two-thirds is zoned for heavy industrial occupancy.

The resolution will authorize the City to pledge $750,000 in equal payments over fiscal years 2018-2027, with the first $75,000 payment to be made this month.

The funds would be used for land acquisition costs.

Also tonight, the second reading of a proposed change to ordinance covering the discharging of firearms and weapons.

Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 5:30 pm.
