The Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) board of directors voted to again contribute $4,000 for the Salvation Army’s annual food drive, according to William Miner, MD, HRMC board chair.
“Our board feels strongly about the essential work the Salvation Army does for our community,” said Dr. Miner, who is an internist at Tschetter & Hohm Clinic. “The Christmas Basket food drive is an important program and we are proud to help the Salvation Army provide food and gifts for those in our community who need a helping hand.”
In addition to the $4,000 monetary contribution, HRMC employees, medical staff and hospital and Foundation board members support the Christmas Basket program by donating the $15 in turkey bucks they receive as a gift from the hospital at Thanksgiving to the Salvation Army program. In total, $570 in turkey bucks were donated to the Salvation Army for their Christmas Basket program.
