A strong winter storm will impact a large area of the northern plains this weekend.
Mike Fuhs at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says it will start late Friday.
Fuhs says there will be several bands of heavy snow.
Currently, forecasters say there is the potential for up to three inches of snow in the Huron area Friday night thru Saturday.
