Central Park Items On City Commission Agenda Tonight

The Central Park redevelopment project takes center stage again at tonight’s Huron City Commission meeting. The Commission will consider approving an architect contract with Bonestroo Consulting for the project and will receive a presentation on Central Park from the company. In other business the Commission will consider approval of a payment request for a street milling and overlay project. A public hearing and second reading of a ordinance regarding the re-zoning petition filed by Farm Credit Services of America is tonight. The Commission will consider a request to participate in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Partnership Summer Internship Program and to accept two volunteer interns for the summer. Human resource items including hiring recommendations for golf course workers and approving a job description for a part-time Information Technology Specialist and to hire for that job. Also a reminder that informational community meetings on the PM Central Park project are being held tonight at 7 PM and tomorrow at 7 AM. The Commission will hold a work session to discuss a Business Improvement District. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
