HRMC Honors Wolff as September Exceptional Employee

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored its September Exceptional Employee of the Month, Leslie Wolff, with a reception on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

Wolff, who has worked as the office manager for the Women’s Wellness Center for nearly two years and prior to that worked as a switchboard operator at HRMC for four years, was nominated by coworkers to receive the honor. According to nominating coworkers, “Leslie is a ‘take-charge’ leader who strives for excellence.”

“She leads her team by keeping in mind how the patient, family member, visitor or coworker will feel and benefit from her decisions,” the nomination continued. “You can always count on Leslie to do what she says she will do!”

HRMC’s Exceptional Employee of the Month award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. Employees can be nominated by other employees or by a patient or visitor who witnesses exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments chooses the employee on a monthly basis and an Exceptional Employee of the Year is chosen at year-end from the 12 monthly honorees.

As September exceptional employee, Wolff received a reception with family, friends and coworkers, a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.

Wolff earned a coding and billing diploma and holds a Certified Coding Associate (CCA). Prior to joining HRMC, she worked at the Huron Area Center for Independence (CFI). Prior to working at CFI, Wolff worked in pharmacy, surgery, central sterilization and the ER at HRMC.

Originally from Huron, Wolff and her spouse, Melissa who works as an overnight instructor at CFI, have four children: Morgan, Cole and Haley Wolff and Peyton Schock. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, knitting, golfing, repairing and building things and spending time with family.
