This week the Deadwood City Commission awarded Outside of Deadwood Grant funds to projects around the state.
Methodist Episcopal Church in Wessington Springs is one of the entities receiving funds. The church has been awarded $5,000 to re-glaze stain glass windows
Since 2002, the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission has helped promote the preservation and interpretation of historic sites, buildings, and properties, throughout the state with the Outside-of-Deadwood Grant program.
In the past Outside-of-Deadwood Grants have been awarded to 51 South Dakota communities including Huron and Hitchcock.
