PUC Seeing Few Complaints On AT&T Coverage

Some wireless phone customers in South Dakota are in the midst of a transition with their service provider—and not by choice.  A-T-&T bought Alltel’s customer base when it acquired former Alltel assets from Verizon nearly a year ago.  And that acquisition could lead to some coverage problems in remote areas of South Dakota.  Public Utilities Commissioner Chris Nelson explains….

Nelson says so far, the P-U-C hasn’t received many complaint calls on this issue….

Nelson says if coverage issues become a big problem for new A-T-&-T customers, the P-U-C can “lean” on the company to build more towers in the state….
