US Chamber Estimates Tariffs Could Cost SD Businesses Around $130 Million

More tariffs and counter tariffs have been enacted between the US and many trading partners including Canada, Mexico, China and the E.U.

Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says those trade barriers will hit many of their members.

Owen says all of US trade policy is unsettled right now.

Owen says future business expansions will be affected.

The US Chamber of Commerce estimated that tariff issues could cost South Dakota businesses about one hundred thirty million dollars.
