The National Junior High Finals Rodeo begins Sunday on the State Fairgrounds in Huron. Austin White with the Nation High School Rodeo Association office in Denver is overseeing the event, and says a large number of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be competing.
White says the will be more horses then contestants.
White says the qualifiers had a long road to get to Huron.
This is the first year the Junior High Finals have been held in South Dakota, they were held in Lebanon, Tennessee the past two years.
