City Commission Meets Tonight

There is not much for the Huron City Commission to hash over at tonight’s City Commission meeting. Commissioners will consider awarding bids for a sanitary sewer force main and LED Wall Pack lighting for the underground parking garage at the Crossroads. Also up for consideration is an application for the abatement of property taxes. The Commission will receive a presentation of 2010 unaudited financial statements and consider a hiring a part time Pro Shop Attendant. Commissioners will hear the latest on James River flooding and consider joining NationJob for advertising city jobs on the internet. An executive session is planned for a personnel item and union negotiations. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building and the meeting is open to the public.
