The warm weather and melting snow is starting to overtake some Beadle County Roads. Officials were surveying and closing some roads Sunday. Beadle County Emergency Manager Tom Moeding says no unnessesary travel is advised on county and township roads unless you absoulutely have to. Your asked to use caution if you are unfamiliar with a road because a number of them have water flowing across. Do NOT attempt to drive through water flowing across a road as your vehicle may be damaged or my be swept off the road surface. Jersey Avenue in Huron is Closed along the James River. Nearly 50 miles of roads across Beadle County are either closed or underwater. County roads that make up the Hand, Spink and Beadle County Lines are closed. No travel is also advised in Kingsbury and Clark Counties. Around Lake Thompson between Huron and Brookings in Kingsbury County residents expect most main routes to be submerged in a few days and are trying to determine the best way to save homes and vital roads. Moeding is also asking all Beadle County Townships to barricade and close all flooded township roads until the flooding ends. Moeding has provided Performance Radio photos of the flooding on Sunday
