Huron School District Preparing for End of School

In preparation for the end of school, the Huron School District wants to make parents and students aware of the following information:

Elementary report cards will be distributed to students on their last day of school which is May 31st with an early release of 1:15 for grades K-5. Students who will be absent during the final day of school may bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the school’s office. These report cards will then be mailed to their homes. Elementary buildings will be open through June 7th.

Parents with special concerns are asked to contact their respective principal’s office either by phone or with a written note to arrange for a conference. Teachers wanting a conference will contact the parents personally.

Thursday, May 31st (with an early release of 1:30 p.m.) is the last school day for the Middle School. Report cards may be picked up in the middle school office between June 4th and June 15th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

At the High School: On Thursday, May 24th, seniors will check out at 7:30 a.m. On Thursday, May 31st, freshmen will check out at 8:05 a.m.; sophomores at 10:00 a.m.; and juniors at 1:00 p.m.

High School report cards will be available for pick up in the principal’s office beginning Monday, June 4th from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Central Administrative offices, the Activity Director-Arena Manager’s office, Huron High School and the Huron Middle School offices will all remain open throughout the summer months. Regular office hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The high school office hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Middle School office hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Elementary buildings will be open through June 7th and will re-open on August 13th.

Elementary registration for students new to the district is August 15th and 16th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
