Kruger Out On PR Bond

The 18-year-old DeSmet woman charged with making terroristic threats with Facebook posts is out of the Beadle County Jail. Melissa Kruger was scheduled to be in the Kingsbury County Courthouse today, but her case was continued to March 14th. Court documents show Kruger was released from the jail in Huron to the custody of her mother, Patty Wilson on February 10th. Kruger is under house arrest and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Kurger may leave home, but only in the presence of her mother, Patty Wilson. Judge David Geinapp’s order still says Kruger can not have contact either directly or indirectly with the DeSmet School system. DeSmet Superintendent Jim Altenburg says Kruger is not in school in DeSmet and did not know where or if Kruger was going to school elsewhere. Geinapp also requested another psychological examination be performed on Kruger as part of the personal recognizance bonding.
