The Huron City Commission met last night at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioner set Februray 28th as the date for bids on the city’s annual supply of irrigation, water-sewer and marking paint supplies. An agreement with the Northeast Council of Governments was approved so NECOG can distribute the 515-thousand dollar Community Development Block Grant for a water tower near Dakota Provisions to the city. Two plats were approved on opposite ends of Huron. The second and final reading of ordinances regarding the adoption of 2009 International Bulding Codes and Planting on Boulevards and Parking Strips were approved. The city also approved a proposal from Midco Diving and Marine Services for work on the Frank Avenue Water Tower. City Engineer Mike Wever says divers will make repairs while the tank is in use…
