Winter Storm Watch Posted for Most of SD Beginning Friday

A major winter storm will impact a wide area of the northern plains into the weekend. Winter storm watches have been posted for much of the region.

Ferguson says the storm will take a while to move out

Ferguson says some thunderstorms, with small hail are also possible in southeast South Dakota into northwest Iowa.

The Huron area could be in for as much 10 inches of snow beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday.

Huron is included in a Winter Storm Watch beginning 1pm Friday to 4pm Saturday.
