Police have a suspect in custody in connection with an early-morning stabbing. Officers were called just after 3:30 this morning to the 100 block of East Bourbon Place, and when they arrived, they found a 38-year-old man with two stab wounds to his abdomen. Investigators say the suspect, who was known to the victim, drove away but was spotted by officers who were arriving on the scene. The suspect, 43-year-old Rodney Craig Kaul, was stopped near 10th and Sycamore and jailed on charges of aggravated assault, DWI, and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
