Huron Students Participate in National Walk-Out

This morning students around the country participated in a national school walk-out – a demonstration protesting gun violence.

Superintendent Terry Nebelsick says approximately 225 Huron High School students took part in today’s walk out.

Huron police officers were also on hand for the walkout.

Nebelsick says the Huron School District works with staff and law enforcement to ensure student safety.

Today’s walkout comes one month after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida that claimed the lives of 17 students and staff.
