Wessington Springs Woman Guitly Of Federal Charges

A Wessington Springs woman has pleaded guilty to a federal indictment charging her with Bank Fraud and Conspiracy. Twenty five year old Kaila Scfield made the plea guilty before US District Judge Roberto Lange in Sioux Falls. Scofield faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a 1-million dollar fine or both, plus 5 years of supervised release and a 100 dollar special assessment. Scofield admitted to defrauding a financial institution on January 4th and 29th of last year. Formal sentencing is scheduled for March 28th
