Huron Native Appointed To Law Enforcement Commission

PIERRE, SD – Huron native and Meade County State’s Attorney Jesse Sondreal has been appointed to the South Dakota Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission.  South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says he appointed Sondreal to replace Jim Seward of Belle Fourche, who will be general counsel to Gov.-elect Dennis Daugaard. The 10-member commission sets the training standards and certification process for law enforcement in South Dakota.  The attorney general appoints seven of the commission members. The other three are the attorney general, a regional FBI agent and the chief agent of the state Division of Criminal Investigation.
