The City of Huron has cancelled the Snow Alert that was in effect from a Monday snowstorm. You may park on all city streets as normal. Deputy Police Cheif Denny Meyer says Huron Police have written about 75 snow alert tickets so far and that with snow in the forecast for late in the week another snow alert may be declared depending on how much snow is recieved. Since December 20th, police have responed to 13 accidents related to the snowstorm and poor driving condtions. He adds that while front and four wheel drive makes it easier to get from point A to point B, its still difficult to stop or turn if you over drive road conditions. A snow alert ticket in Huron will cost you 35 dollars. If not paid in a week the cost will increase to 50 dollars.
