Winter Weather Advisory Now Includes Huron and Woonsocket

 

A Winter Weather Advisory (in purple) now includes Beadle and Sanborn Counties from 6 PM Friday Night to Noon Saturday

A one-two punch of winter weather is expected across our area this weekend…first snow and wind…and then bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills.  Meteorologist Kelly Serr at the National Weather Service in Aberdeen says a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for northeastern South Dakota—including Beadle, Sanborn, Spink, Clark, Kingsbury and Miner Counties—from six p-m tonight until noon Saturday….

Serr says those winds will create reduced visibilities, down to one-half mile or less at times….

And once the snow moves out, it’s going to get cold. Serr says this weekend, we’ll see our coldest temperatures so far this season….

Again, the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from six tonight until noon Saturday for the cities of Huron, Woonsocket, Hitchcock, Artesian, Wolsey, Wessington, Tulare, Redfield, Clark, Willow Lake, DeSmet, and Howard.
