Gubernatorial Candidates Address Meth Use in the State

The three leading contenders to replace Dennis Daugaard as South Dakota governor covered a number of topics last week during a 60 minute question and answer session at the statewide tourism conference in Pierre.

They were asked about meth use in South Dakota, and whether it’s reached levels where it’s impacting the tourism industry.

All three candidates lauded the work of Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen, and indicated they’d like to keep him in that position should they win the election in November.
