Huron Superintendent Not Surprised by Governor’s Budget Proposal

The states continued tax revenue woes were reflected in Governor Daugaard’s budget speech on Tuesday. The Daugaard administration anticipates a near $34 million shortfall and is proposing more belt tightening to balance the budget.
While there will be more money for education there will be no increase in inflationary funding per student.
