A member of the 153rd Engineer Battalion spoke at the Saturday’s Veteran’s Day program, which was presented by the Huron Veteran’s Council. Sgt. Zachary Campbell has been deployed twice with the 153rd. During his remarks on Saturday, he shared the number of projects the 153rd was involved with during their most recent deployment.
Campbell says those projects had a big impact in the fight against ISIS.
Campbell teaches at Huron High School.
About 165 Soldiers from the 153rd Engineer Battalion and its Forward Support Company, based in Huron and Parkston, returned home on Sept. 30th after serving 10 months in the Middle East.
