At last night’s city commission meeting, commissioners approved a resolution authoring the mayor to sign a Community Development Block Grant application. The funds will be used to assist in the demolition of a house in Huron.
Ted Dickey of the Northeast Council of Governments appeared before the commission for a public hearing on the request.
Dickey said more block grant funds are available.
Also last night the commission authorized the Mayor to sign an agreement with the State of South Dakota Department of Transportation Office of Air, Rail, and Transit for runway rehabilitation at the Huron Regional Airport.
