Upgrade Near Iroquois on State Railroad Board Agenda

The South Dakota State Railroad Board meets tomorrow in Pierre, with a number of project updates on the agenda.

Board Chairman Todd Yeaton of Kimball says they want to hear how the RCP&E Railroad, across the central part of the state, is doing with their upgrades

The board helped them get a grant to build a pass track on their line at Phillip.

Yeaton says they will also hear about an underwater inspection of the MRC line bridge over the Missouri River at Chamberlain

Yeaton says they don’t expect any issues with that bridge

Rail traffic began moving again across that bridge following the rebuilding of the line from Chamberlain to Kennebec.
