Wheat Executive Says Despite Some Frost This Week, Winter Wheat In Good Shape

Farmers have made great progress in planting winter wheat. South Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson says South Dakota is well ahead of most other states with winter wheat seeding.

He says despite frost this week there’s no sign of damage to the winter wheat.

Christopherson says the overall winter wheat condition is good and right where it should be.

Christopherson says there’s still time for farmers to put in winter wheat. He says it’s good for soil health and crop rotation.
