The 21st annual Dakotafest opens today on the Schlaffman farm southeast of Mitchell. The event is billed as South Dakota’s largest outdoor farm show featuring around 550 ag-related exhibitors.

The highlight of the three-day event is a 2018 Farm Bill discussion featuring South Dakota’s congressional delegation and other experts. That’s set for Wednesday morning at 10:30.
Various farm commodity groups are also attending and promoting their products.
Dakotafest opens daily at 9:00 am. Admission is $10 and parking is free.
