The investigation into a fatal fire in Black Hawk is underway, as authorities try to figure out what started the massive blaze that killed three people Friday.
Firefighters say the mobile home was destroyed – burning so hot, it caused radiant damage to neighboring homes.
Fire crews recovered the three bodies from inside the mobile home Friday afternoon.
Two of the victims are adults but the age of the third is unknown at this time. Now the case is in the hands of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the Rapid City Police Department…
South Dakota’s State Fire Marshall’s Office is also investigating.
This is the second fatal fire in the past six month to involve more than two deaths. In April, a house fire in Spearfish claimed the lives of five children.
