In 2014, the 25th annual Red Power Roundup was held on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds. The event showcases the history of International Harvester tractors and other equipment. Huron has been chosen for the site of the Roundup in 2020.
Erica Woodbury, with the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau, says organizers were impressed with the reception they received in Huron.
Woodbury says representatives from the Chamber and a small delegation made trek to Des Monies to lobby on behalf of Huron.
The 2020 Red Power Roundup will be held in Huron June 25th- 27th.
